Avo cigars were founded in the 1980’s by Lebanese jazz pianist Avo Uvezian in association with Hendrik Kelner.
THis Dominican brand took off in 1995 when Davidoff paid him an estimated 10 million dollars for distribution rights.
What was once a small premium brand is now a worldwide success and production increases year by year.
The cigar makes use of leaf that thas been aged for at least 6 years and is a mild blend that will appeal to a lot of smokers.
It’s easy going when lit, plenty of creamy smoke with notes of hay and cedar, some earthiness and wood that mix and match perfectly as you smoke down.
A good draw and a perfect burn mark this out as a well constructed cigar, an ideal choice for the occasional smoker and perfect for pre-noon smoking.
